Since it’s June and school’s our for most of us (hopefully) I wanted to give you a quick and easy tip that you can tuck away in your brain to get organized next year.

I blogged about this idea last year in a random post of other things, but didn’t realize JUST how great and helpful this idea was, so I wanted to highlight it again. It has saved me SO much time!

I don’t know about you, but I have a lot of bulletin board letters. I <3 to have different funky ones. The problem is, when I wanted to make a new bulletin board, I used to have to dig through a box of random letters… uhm… not fun. I could never find all of the letters I needed.

Then, last summer, I was at the dollar store. I was looking for a way to better organize my letters, and it hit me!

I grabbed a bunch of cheap-o plastic photo albums.

Collage of Photo Album

When I got home, I typed up a little cover for each telling me what type of letters where inside, and then set to work. I put each letter on one page. The photo albums are SUPER full, but I just wrap a rubber band around them to keep them closed. I did this for all of my letters and then stuck the albums in a basket in my classroom closet (sorry I don’t have a picture). Now when I want to make a bulletin board, I just pull out the basket, pick the letters I want, and I can easily find the ones I need! When I take a bulletin board down, I just put the letters back where they belong.

*One quick tip- when you buy the albums, make sure you get one that is big enough. I grabbed the albums that could hold 48 photos. That way, I could put letters in front and back and there was room for punctuation marks as well. I actually just cut out the extra pages in the back so they weren’t as thick.

So, there you have it! That’s my bright idea! I’d love to hear what you think! Leave a comment below. 🙂
