When reviewing a children’s book, who better to give their an opinion than by 4 year old book aficionado? All thoughts, ideas, and opinions are “straight from the 4 year olds mouth”. I just typed up her answers- word-for-word, since, you know, she’s four.
What do you think of the cover of Monster Boogie?
I like the kids and I like the monster! I like the little radio!
What’s your favorite part of the book?
*Flipping to the page where we first meet the monster* I like this part! I like the monster’s eyes and teeth.
What part of the book was the funniest part?
The part where he (the monster) was juggling the furniture!
What character in the book do you like the best?
I like the monster and the children!
Is there anything else you’d like to tell me about this book?
I like ALL the parts of the book!
Do you think you’ll want to read this book a lot or a little?
A lot! Over and over!
After explaining how rating systems work, I asked her how many stars (1-5) she would give Monster Boogie.
Five stars! (And then she added) Mom, can I DRAW 5 stars on the book? (which we did not do, but that just shows how much she loved it!)
